The Centralized Chip Handling System is an advanced material handling solution designed to collect, transport, and manage metal chips from multiple CNC machines through a single, integrated conveyor network. This automated system eliminates manual chip handling, improves operational efficiency, and maintains a clean and safe production environment.

In a centralized system, each CNC machine is equipped with its own chip conveyor that continuously removes metal chips from the machine. The chips from all individual conveyors are then transferred onto a common collecting conveyor, which transports the accumulated chips to a main scraper conveyor. The main scraper conveyor carries the chips to the designated collection point, such as a chip bin, chip crusher, chip centrifuge, or scrap container, for further processing or disposal.

This centralized arrangement enables continuous chip evacuation from multiple machines, ensuring uninterrupted production and reducing downtime caused by chip accumulation.

Working Principle

Each CNC machine in the production line is equipped with a dedicated chip conveyor that continuously removes metal chips as they are generated. The chips from all individual conveyors are discharged onto a common collecting conveyor, which transports them to a main scraper conveyor. The main scraper conveyor then carries the accumulated chips to the designated collection point — such as a chip bin, chip crusher, chip centrifuge, or scrap container — for further processing or disposal. This integrated approach ensures a continuous, automated flow of chips from multiple machines to a central location, minimizing manual intervention and maximizing production uptime.
